Rupamanjari Ghosh
Rupamanjari Ghosh is currently the Director of School of Natural Sciences and Dean of Research & Graduate Studies, Shiv Nadar University, Uttar Pradesh, India. Her areas of interest include Experimental and Theoretical Quantum Optics, Laser Physics, Nonlinear Optics, Quantum Information, Quantum Measurement and Magneto-Optics.
==Education and Career==
Ghosh earned her Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Rochester, NY in Quantum Optics.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=https://www.pas.rochester.edu/graduate/alumni-1980-1989.html )〕 Working under Leonard Mandel, she demonstrated the existence of non-classical effects in two-photon interference processes.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevLett.59.1903 )〕 After her Ph.D., she returned to India and joined the School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, where she held many important academic and administrative positions over a span of 24 years. She has also held several Visiting Positions on invitation at Université Paris-Sud, Universite de Rennes I and École Normale Supérieure among others.
